Rhulani Mokwena pulled no punches when asked about the physical condition of Bongani Zungu, with whom he shares a close personal relationship. SLSiya
It is perhaps because of the nature of their relationship that Mokwena could openly comment about his thoughts on the progress the 30-year-old has made since his return to the club six years after he first left for Europe.
Mokwena admits that Zungu is on the right path in terms of his conditioning, but says that in his personal capacity, he is not entirely satisfied with what he’s seen from the midfielder just yet. “Incredible human, being that Bongani Zungu. Are we happy with his progress? He knows I’m not happy and I can maybe speak in a personal capacity, he knows I’m not happy. He knows that he can do more, so I’m not afraid to say it here because I’ve said it to him,” Mokwena told journalists at a press conference.
