Duo's first project speaks to universal issues faced by young women
The seven songs on this set speak to the kinds of universal issues faced by young women growing up just about anywhere, from building relationships and the ups and downs of love to dealing with sadness and loneliness, satisfying curiosity and dealing with people you wish you didn’t have to deal with.
Their lyrics on this album convey a certain vulnerability in places, but they also display a sense of conviction because they do not hesitate to say what they feel needs to be said. Their primarily acoustic sound features Moira and Claire on guitar, mandolin and ukulele. Both also play piano, but there’s not a lot of piano here. The album is built mostly on guitar, their voices and their beautiful high harmonies.
