Toronto-based performers come to the West Coast this weekend for performances at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.
Tanika Charles, an internationally known Toronto-based soul music powerhouse, will bring her high-energy show to Burnaby with a live performance at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on Thursday, Jan. 26.
As fans will remember, in 2016, Charles independently released her debut album Soul Run, which was released by Milan-based label Record Kicks internationally in 2017. She was also awarded the inaugural Polaris Prize artist-in-residence for 2020 at the Studio Bell National Music Centre in Calgary. Storry is renowned in Canada for her versatile talent in a wide range of musical genres although she is deeply rooted in R&B and soul. She is also multitalented in all aspects of her career as she is involved in everything ranging from designing album covers to directing her award-winning music videos.
