The Dutchman has struggled for game time since his move to England in 2020, having played just 579 minutes of Premier League football in one and a half seasons so far.
Van de Beek, 24, will be looking to secure himself a place in the Netherlands' 2022 FIFA World Cup squad and thus could be desperate to impress at the Toffees. Many have accused United of wasting the player's time since his exciting switch from Ajax two years ago, after he was once considered among the best young attacking midfielders in Europe. Van de Beek told the club's website:"Everton is a big club, with big players, the history and amazing fans. The Club has everything to go up and be higher in the table."It’s difficult, I cannot play on Saturday but I will be there to see the game and focus on the next match.
