Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie mocked Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for vowing that his state would not cooperate with an extradition request for former President Donald Trump after he was indicted in Manhattan this week.
Neither Christie nor DeSantis has announced their bids in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, though Christie has said he will make a decision before summer. In the meantime, Christie has been taking more pointed aim at his potential 2024 rivals, especially Trump and DeSantis, who tweeted Thursday after a Manhattan grand jury approved the charges that Florida would"not assist in an extradition request given the questionable circumstances at issue.
Attorneys for Trump, who became a Florida resident after leaving the White House in 2021, have said he intends to turn himself in on Tuesday.
