Former President Donald Trump is set to be booked in Fulton County, Georgia, on Thursday after being indicted for a fourth time this year.
Trump was indicted earlier this month on racketeering charges along with 18 other co-defendants as part of sweeping charges for his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election in the Peach State. Trump is expected to surrender himself at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta in the evening hours of Thursday. While no time has been confirmed, the Federal Aviation Administration has issued temporary flight restrictions for the area, a radius of 1 nautical mile around the jail from 6:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time.When Trump is booked, he will be subject to regular treatment from law enforcement, according to authorities.
Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said earlier this month that if Trump were indicted, he would be subject to"normal practices," including taking a mug shot. Trump's co-defendants in the case, including former lawyers for the former president Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, and Sydney Powell, have had their mug shots taken and were released by officials in Fulton County, following regular procedures.
The former president is the front-runner in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, but he did not participate in the first Republican debate on Wednesday.
