The COVID-19 pandemic has spawned a wave of scammers looking to take advantage of older adults, experts warn. What you can do to help protect your elderly loved ones:

"Just hang up."Never share passwords for ATMs, online or telephone transactions with banks, credit card companies, or anyone with whom you do business.Never give out personal information such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers, your date of birth, or Social Security and Medicare numbers.If you think you have been scammed, don't be afraid or embarrassed. Tell someone you trust, such as family members, clergy or a bank manager."You are not alone," Roberto said.
