A 21-year-old Dolton man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, according to police.
Jessica Martin, 21, of the 3800 block of West 80th Avenue in Chicago, suffered multiple gunshot wounds at an home in the 14500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Dolton, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.She was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:17 a.m. March 26, and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the office.
The shooting took place in the apartment of Navaeh Thomas, 21, who was apprehended in the area a short time after the shooting and charged with first-degree murder, according to Dolton police Chief Robert Collins.
