Doctors redeployed to Edmonton children's hospital amid surge of sick kids yeg

“I want to make it clear that the volumes have not slowed down. In fact, we are kind of trying to brace for what’s going to happen in January and February, when we normally see our viral infections,” she said. According to Majaesic, the hospital typically plans for a respiratory virus surge that comes to a head early each year, and if that pattern plays out at the beginning of 2023, the situation will only get worse.
