Serb says there are 'positive signs' the country will allow him to play in the Australian Open
Nine-time champion Novak Djokovic says there are “positive signs” that his three-year ban on entering Australia will be waived so that he can play at the next Australian Open in January.
“When it comes to Australia, there are some positive signs, but unofficially,” he told Serbia’s Sportal in an interview. Australia’s home affairs ministry has repeatedly reiterated its policy of not commenting on individual cases. Djokovic remains unvaccinated but Australia scrapped a rule that required international travellers to declare their Covid vaccination status in July.
