The district currently has 86 active confirmed cases of the virus.
THUNDER BAY – The District of Thunder Bay has recorded its 99th COVID-related death since the pandemic began.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit, which has switched to weekly reporting of COVID-19 numbers, announced the latest death on Thursday, the 29th death reported in 2022. The health unit also announced 123 new cases, but have cautioned that because of a lack of molecular testing available to the general public, those numbers likely under-represent the spread of the virus in the district.There have been 9,042 confirmed cases reported in 2022.
