Leeds gymnast Charlie Welsh crowned 2023 disability British senior champion
Charlie Welsh, 18, was diagnosed with Panda Syndrome, which affects the brain commands to your legs, resulting in him having limited ability to stand and walk. This meant Charlie was bound to a wheelchair for seven years, however, due to hard working in the gym and building strength Charlie no longer needs his wheelchair.

It’s been a hard competition, but so good and I get so much joy from the sport.” Olympian Nile Wilson also trained at Leeds Gymnastics Club, along with Harry Hepworth who is currently representing Great Britain at the World Championships.
