Major European nations like France and Germany have plans for the digital euro - as set out in a leaked paper. jackschickler reports.

“A digital euro would need to allow for financial privacy,” the paper added, echoing a discussion which took place with. “In general terms, the identity of payers and payees shall not be disclosed to the central bank or to third-party intermediaries that are not involved in the transaction, except on the basis of [European] Union law.”
