The Health Department says it has been inundated with enquiries about challenges they face when trying to download and access Covid-19 digital vaccination certificates.
Mohale conceded that the Department of Health was aware that “a few lucky individuals” managed to access the system and download their vaccination certificates.
He said the Department of Health would roll out the vaccine certificates which could be used as a form of proof of vaccination for those wishing to travel or access establishments. On Tuesday, South Africa recorded 768 new Covid-19 infection cases and 103 deaths, bringing the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2 907 619.
“As per the National Department of Health, a further 103 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 87 922 to date. 17 828 983 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.”
