Pastor Tim Long performed the ceremony onboard the Bay of Fundy Scenic Lobster Tours lobster vessel Second Secret. The ceremony was small, casual and beautiful, just as the bride Gypsy Provost-Larocque of Ontario had hoped for. CONTRIBUTEDDIGBY COUNTY, NS – Ontario resident Gypsy Provost-Larocque always had a major dream in life. She wanted to visit Nova Scotia because she wanted to see the ocean.
Tamara Frost and her husband Kyle Redden are the operators of Bay of Fundy Scenic Lobster Tours. Frost knows her way around a lobster vessel. She is also a lobster fisher during the commercial LFA 34 lobster season. CONTRIBUTED The tour business received a special licence issued by DFO that allows them to haul traps out of season, but they’re not permitted to catch and release lobster.
Their season opened June 14 this year and was slated to go to Sept. 29. As their season winds down there are limited tours as it’s also that time of the year to start working on lobster gear and getting ready for our upcoming season. Tours are also weather and passenger dependent. As a surprise for the ceremony, Tamara Frost had decorated the boat with red decorations, the bride’s favourite colour.
Frost recalls another meaningful request their tour business received last year. It was to spread the ashes of the loved one of a local family.
