An analyst says the Public Utilities Board will have to adjust prices to reflect reality. Gas has been dropping across North America of late, but an interruption move by the board on Tuesday left the price untouched. Diesel, however, jumped by over 8 cents a litre.

Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, expects diesel to continue its upward climb because of high demand, but say gasoline should go down by four or five cents tonight. He says in Toronto gas cost $158.9, a drop of close to a dime over the past week or so. The story in Vancouver and the rest of western Canada is the same, so it’s something the P.U.B. shouldn’t prevent from happening in NL, says McTeague.
