.ConnCarroll asks: Did Mayorkas lie to El Paso Border Patrol agents?
This Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas met with Border Patrol agents in El Paso, Texas, where he tried to talk about suicide prevention. But the agents were more interested in talking about the disaster that Biden’s policies have caused at the border.
"They asked him why he's saying that the border is secure when we have no agents in the field," the same agent told Giaritelli."He had the nerve to respond that he never said the border was secure." No audio recording of Mayorkas’s presentation was made, but if the agent is accurately describing Mayorkas’s words, then he definitely lied.In March 2021, Mayorkas told Fox News,"The border is secure. The border is closed."More recently, Mayorkas testified before Congress this November that the border is secure.
As all of the Border Patrol agents who work on the southern border every day very well know, the border is absolutely not secure. Not only are record numbers of illegal immigrants crossing the border and record numbers of illegal immigrants escaping capture, but record numbers of immigrants are dying every day on the southern border. And all of this chaos is completely the fault of President Joe Biden and his predictably disastrous catch-and-release immigration policy.
