The 102nd state House district contest pits four-term Republican incumbent Russ Diamond against Democrat Laura Quick.
to ask his assistance in writing a state resolution that would appoint an alternate slate of electors to certify a Trump victory in Pennsylvania in the Electoral College.
His opponent, who is employed as a UPS driver, is critical of how Diamond handled both situations and faults him for working against the governor instead of with him. But beyond that, Quick, who has been unsuccessful in past bids for a state Senate and congressional seat, is dissatisfied with what she sees as a lack of progress on policies to help Pennsylvanians under Republican control of both legislative chambers.
“We need to break this gridlock and these past petty partisan arguments that go on,” Quick said. “We need to expect more out of our elected leaders and I aspire to be a leader that takes people not where they want to go but where they should go.”
