SINGAPURA: Tahun ini Indonesia telah mempersiapkan 'dengan baik' kemungkinan terjadinya kabut asap lintas batas, kata Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi Luhut Binsar Prandjaitan pada Selasa (6 Juni). Pada Selasa pekan ini, Luhut juga mengatakan bahwa Indonesia"ingin juga memiliki kualitas udara seperti di Singapura". Jakarta kerap diselimuti kabut polusi dan konsisten menjadi salah satu kota paling berpolusi di dunia.

"Mungkin kami bisa menargetkan pada 2055 karena target awal kami adalah 2070-an. Lalu kami akan mencobanya dengan teknologi, dengan dukungan internasional, kami bisa mewujudkannya pada tahun 2060. Tapi sekali lagi, jika kemajuannya seperti ini, sangat stabil seperti ini, mungkin kami bisa mencapainya sebelum 2060. Kenapa tidak?"

Dia juga menyampaikan target pemerintah Indonesia untuk membuat 10 persen dari populasi menggunakan kendaraan listrik pada tahun depan. Pada Maret lalu, pemerintah Indonesia mengumumkan pemberian subsidi bagi 200.000 orang untuk beralih ke motor listrik, seperti diberitakan Bloomberg. Subsidi ini diberikan demi mendorong masyarakat menggunakan kendaraan listrik.

"Pemerintah Indonesia telah membentuk program untuk ini. Kami telah mengidentifikasi masalah dan kami juga mendata pembangkit batu bara mana yang akan dipensiunkan lebih dulu," kata Luhut.
