Plano City Council has approved a new transit oriented development on Bush Turnpike.

The Plano council voted 6-1 to approve the development. Plans presented to the council showed a project with two courtyards and a parking garage near Bush Turnpike.

“We’ve been working on this site for well over a year now,” Trinsic’s Adam Brown told the council. “We are excited about transforming a southern gateway site to Plano.”“You are a four-minute walk to the south to the Richardson [rail] stop and a 10-minute walk north to the new 12th Street station,” Brown said. “We see this as a great multifamily location.

“No place outside of downtown Dallas is better served by transit,” Trinsic’s Brown said in a letter to the city.Trinsic Residential is one of North Texas’ most experienced apartment builders. It has constructed 7,000 Dallas-Fort Worth apartments and has another 2,000 in the pipeline, Brown said.The development site is on the north side of Bush Turnpike.
