"Brad, we talked yesterday just briefly in passing. So, that’s, look, you know him, he’s always looking," said."He’s looking, he’s seeing if something’s out there, if something that makes sense, but ultimately, that’s -- I trust him. He’s going to handle it and if it’s something that’s serious, he’ll bring it to me. Otherwise, I just, I handle my business, getting this team ready to play the next week. And whatever does or does not happen, I trust Brad 100 percent.
Detroit's has been hit with a wave of injuries early and often this season, which could factor into Holmes' decision-making. Last season, the team decided to trade tight end T.J. Hockenson at the deadline, a move that Holmes expressed was not based on the team's below .500 record.Despite the praise the team and coaching staff has received, it does not appear any of the outside noise has impacted the"No. I don’t mean that negatively, it’s just -- I mean a lot of people didn’t like us two years ago, so we don’t forget those and we’re the same two people, we’re the same team," saidabout the recent praise.
