Here's a new exotic from Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, a gun powered by a bug. Yep.
news being made on the show floor, though I have appreciated Bungie’s presence all the same. Namely, having Big Show come out and give out World’s First raid belts was arguably the highlight of the show so far.rather neat video
of some of the new and old moon areas that will arrive at Shadowkeep, mainly focused on the terrifying Hive fortress itself. But Bungie has also debuted the first official Shadowkeep exotic here, though they have done it in a weird, cool way. The new exotic does not have a name, but it is a Machine Gun that Bungie rolled out not onscreen, but with a new prop they’ve had made. Bungie has had countlessweapons made into real-life versions over the years, and a ton of them are on display at the show. But this, I believe, is the first time a model has been used to debut a new exotic.weapon I’ve seen.
We don’t know if this weapon is the result of a quest or just a new random drop in the Shadowkeep expansion. Forsaken arrived with 13 new exotics, where only about 6 or so were random world drops, while the rest were tied to quests of some kind. Even if Shadowkeep is a smaller expansion than Forsaken, I’d expect maybe, 8-10 exotic weapons? Not sure.
Anyway, it’s a wild concept for a gun and an interesting way to debut it here at GuardianCon. Bungie does tend to tease many of its exotics ahead of time, so perhaps we’ll see Bug Gun here show up in a trailer sometime in the new future.Oh, here’s a video Fireteam Chat took of the gun if you want to see it in action:
