Get ready, Guardians! Destiny 2 is making waves in the world of Sea of Thieves and Brawlhalla. Players of both games will be getting exclusive Destiny-inspired cosmetics and crossover characters, marking a unique collaboration between these beloved franchises.

Bungie has been actively incorporating crossovers with other media properties. In recent times, the developer introduced items inspired by popular franchises like Star Wars and Street Fighter in their games, primarily Sea of Thieves and Brawlhalla respectively. However, Destiny players won't be receiving content from these games. Instead, players of Sea of Thieves and Brawlhalla will be enjoying content from Destiny 2 .

Beginning with Brawlhalla, Destiny 2 content is set to arrive as part of the Guardians Crossover Event. Players will have the opportunity to take on the roles of Hunter, Titan, and Warlock Crossover characters, equipped with emblematic weapons and armor. Notably, the trailer for this event showcases iconic Destiny 2 weaponry such as Ace of Spades, Outbreak Perfected, and Dragon’s Breath. Additionally, the Warlock character appears to be wielding a Glaive. Another exciting addition is the iconic Gjallarhorn, which will be available for purchase through Brawlhalla's cosmetic store. On the other hand, Sea of Thieves will be receiving a collection of Destiny 2-inspired cosmetics. This includes ship customizations reflecting Destiny's classes and various player character cosmetics, including an outfit strikingly similar to one worn by The Drifter. Adam Park, director of brand and licensing at Rare, expressed his enthusiasm for this crossover. He stated, “As we’ve seen with our other cosmetic crossovers and our Tall Tales, our teams are always looking for opportunities to bring other worlds into Sea of Thieves and put a unique spin on them, no matter where the inspiration comes from. Even though it might not seem like an obvious choice, Destiny’s classes and co-operative play presented a ‘crew-like’ bond that we thought was a great fit, along with some striking iconography, vivid art style and a sense of being mythical in tone and scope.” Rare has confirmed that collaboration on this crossover with Bungie began in 2023. Although the crossover primarily focuses on cosmetic items, it’s a significant undertaking nonetheless. Interestingly, there are no items inspired by Brawlhalla or Sea of Thieves appearing within Destiny 2. This aligns with Bungie's previous foray into pirate-themed content through 2022's Season of Plunder. However, a few touches from Brawlhalla would have been a welcome addition
