Hamilton Pool, one of the most stunning swimming holes in Central Texas, is now accepting reservations.Hamilton Pool, one of the most stunning swimming holes in Central Texas, is nowVisitors to the scenic spot on Hamilton Creek that features a 50-foot waterfall and half-surrounded by a grotto only have access to the water. The overhang, where you used to be able to stand under and let water spill on your head, is off limits due to an ongoing threat of falling rocks.
The trail underneath the overhang, which leads to the bottom of the waterfall, is closed for safety concerns. However, visitors can still access the beach. Limited access to Hamilton Pool could change depending on bacterial levels and rainfall, so swimming is not guaranteed, even with the mandatory reservation you need to enter. Reservations are available through August 2023.. Reservations are $12 per vehicle and additional entrance fees are required once you enter the Hamilton Pool Preserve.
