Brendan Rogers says Jim McGuinness’ appointment is “a godsend” for the people of Donegal, but it’s not something that bothers him too much.
“I think it will be positive. It will go from them thinking, 'Division 2, bit of a rough year, where do we go from here?' “When you're assessing video analysis you kind of see the fingerprints of certain managers and what they can bring. Certainly it would be one to kind of be watching out the corner of the eye to see what he brings to the game in terms of change, if any.”
“So his influence in terms of what an athlete is, how they had to live their life in terms of strength and conditioning, was a big factor.”“You're attacking with maybe 15 behind it so the concept of getting ahead of the ball, stretching teams,” he said.
