James Anderson doing yet more brilliant work

A food drive is opening its doors to all members of the public in Lancashire today and offering the chance to buy 10 items for just £3.

Depher CIC UK, founded by James Anderson, runs the food drive to help put food on the table for families and individuals in Burnley, Padiham and surrounding areas. It serves more than 3,000 members every week with food items that are fresh daily or directly from wholesalers and suppliers. The shop on Parker Lane also offers free nappies and sanatory products every two weeks. The shop is inviting 'any member of the public' to access the food drive for one hour between 11am and 12pm today .In a statement on the Depher Community Food Drive Facebook page last night, a spokesperson said: "[Today] for one hour between 11 and 12 any member of the public can have access to the Depher Community fund food drive on Parker Lane Burnley.

James Anderson started the Burnley-based charity in 2017 and has worked to support the most vulnerable in society ever since. DEPHER, which stands for Disabled and Elderly Heating Emergency Repairs, has provided a lifeline for thousands of struggling families across Lancashire and the rest of the UK and offers free plumbing services as well as food deliveries to the most vulnerable people across the region.
