Vicki Ray can count the number of Denver Nuggets games she’s missed since she first sat in the nosebleeds at McNichols Sports Arena 32 years ago.
Longtime Nuggets fan Vicki Ray poses for a portrait with her Denver Nuggets collections at her home in Lone Tree, Colorado on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Ray was banned from games after she had “unwanted contact with participants.” Ray denies the accusations.
Ray, 72, said the altercations didn’t happen and theorized the company revoked her tickets for other reasons. The company’s statement cited “unwanted contact with participants” that continued “even after repeated warnings.” The first time Ray heard of any problems was Feb. 2, when two security guards approached her after the game and said she had grabbed a referee, who pushed her away and said “No.”
