Andrew Mutch, 34, has been charged with the murder of two men in the vicinity of the Interstate 70 entrance ramp and Washington Street before Christmas, according to an announcement Friday from Denver District Attorney Beth McCann.

Andrew Mutch, 34, has been charged with the murder of two men in the vicinity of the Interstate 70 entrance ramp and Washington Street before Christmas, according to anMichael Thompson, 32, was found dead at 12:25 p.m. on Dec. 20 under the westbound offramp of I-70 and North Washington Street. On Dec. 21, at 3:10 p.m., Gregory Dupree, 56, was found dead nearby under the eastbound ramp. Both menand their deaths were ruled homicides, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

After finding Dupree, police began searching the area for additional victims and found Mutch sleeping about 15 feet from the scene of the first murder. They arrested him on outstanding warrants that evening and began to investigate him as a suspect in the two murders. Mutch is charged with two counts of murder in the first degree – after deliberation.
