Abbott called on the Texas Secretary of State’s Office, the Attorney General’s Office and the Texas Rangers to probe “allegations of improprieties in the way that the 2022 elections were conducted” in the county. Even before Election Day came, politicians expected Harris County to become a flashpoint for claims of voter fraud and alleged malfeasance.
