The race results come after several days of delayed mail-in ballot counting — Cortez Masto secured a win by the time the Associated Press called the race, with 48.7 percent for Cortez Masto and 48.2 percent for former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt.A Dec. 6 runoff win in Georgia would give the party a 51-49 majority.
