“The decision made by the Arizona Supreme Court today is unconscionable and an affront to freedom. Make no mistake, by effectively striking down a law passed this century and replacing it with one from 160 years ago, the Court has risked the health and lives of Arizonans,” Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes in a statement. “The Arizona Court of Appeals decision, which the Supreme Court has struck down , was well reasoned and aligned with how courts harmonize different legislation.

“Absent the federal constitutional abortion right, and because does not independently authorize abortion, there is no provision in federal or state law prohibiting operation. Accordingly, is now enforceable,” Lopez continued. The Arizona Supreme Court ultimately affirmed a lower court’s decision vacating an injunction against the near-total ban but stayed the total enforcement of the law for 14 days to allow for parties to decide how to pursue further action. The state’s high court also remanded the case to trial court for potential consideration of remaining constitutional challenges.revealed“It’s all about state’s rights, and that’ll be straightened out,” Trump said.
