On Friday, the musician dropped the Y2K-inspired music video for"Substance," the latest single off their upcoming albumWhile the pop-punk banger reminds longtime Demi fans of the rock sound from their debut album, the '90s-inspired video takes us even further back, to the time of spray-painted bedroom walls and the"This is Your Brain on Drugs" campaign.
In the video, the rock star wears a set of nostalgic outfits that complement their new blunt bob hairdo with uneven fringe bangs. It starts with the star wearing a black and red collared minidress with a cropped checker-print blazer, as they trash a board room full of record executives. They later change into a white and black silk slip, which gets decorated with spray paint during a house party.
