JOHANNESBURG - Angie Motshekga, the Minister of Defense and Veterans of Military Service, was appointed as the acting President by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Saturday.
This appointment was made in light of the president's working visit to Zimbabwe, where he is attending the 44th Ordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community's heads of state and government.
In addition to the status of member state contributions, the President will engage in discussions on the Summit's agenda items, which also include the region's health status, the implementation of the SADC Industrialization Strategy and Roadmap, and candidatures to continental and international organizations.has arrived in Harare, in the Republic of Zimbabwe, where he is attending the 44th Ordinary Summit of the Southern African Community Heads of State and Government.
