Crusaders boss says it was right to be respectful to outgoing manager Stephen Baxter ahead of new campaign
Declan Caddell said the Irish League's family of managers have already been on hand to offer him support and advice.
Caddell respectfully remained in the background as Baxter wound down his time in charge but he was pleased to be able to learn off the experienced boss before stepping out on his own. "Obviously the news came out before the end of last season but the boys still had a lot of work to do in terms of Europe and the play-offs," said Caddell.
"Thankfully it was all worthwhile as we secured that European spot. Pre-season has been good and obviously I got to spend that time with Stephen around the European games...what a person to learn from and spend time with.
