ANC regional chairperson, Eugene Modise, said that this move had been blessed by its higher structures.
JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress in Tshwane said that its decision to remove the Democratic Alliance -led coalition government in the capital city would not have any effect on the Government of National Unity .The two parties are also in a coalition government in KwaZulu-Natal.
However, in a media briefing on Friday, the ANC in Tshwane, said that this relationship did not apply to it. In President Cyril Ramaphosa's speech on Thursday night at the opening of Parliament, he said parties in the Government of National Unity would also be collaborating in provincial and local governments.
"They have requested us to vote out the mayor a long time ago because of his arrogance and his treatment of black business people."The DA and ANC have formed multiparty coalition governments nationally and provincially. Eugene Modise, ANC Tshwane Chairperson, said the region’s move to remove the DA-led coalition government in the capital city has been blessed by the higher structures. TCG
