Deceased male identified as missing person Matthew Bouchard

The Thunder Bay Police Service on Friday identified a body discovered on Aug. 31 in the city’s south end as Bouchard.

Bouchard, 38, had last been seen on the afternoon of Aug. 21, in the 100s block area of Frederica Street West. Police located Bouchard’s body in an area near the 100 block of Darrel Avenue, close to the Resolute Forest Products sawmill, on Aug. 31 following reports of a body possibly being spotted in a nearby waterway.
