A woman gets advice from twice-divorced Coleen Nolan about the jealousy she is feeling towards her mother.
Three years ago, she met a younger man at a supermarket. He was 40 then and she was 52. It’s now three years later and they’re happily married, and she has become the most spoiled woman I know.
I now live in my mother’s house and she’s turned over the ownership to me. I should be happy about this and glad that she found happiness, but her husband is very handsome, successful, generous, intelligent and so in love with her I can’t stand it. Coleen says Your mum couldn’t have done any more for you and now she’s given you her house – she’s the person who wants you to be happy more than anyone in the world.
You say you’re jealous of your mum’s life and her happiness, but could it also be a feeling that this man has taken your mother away? To plant bad things about your mum in his head is malicious.
