Dealer sentenced to 20 years in prison for fentanyl death [Breaking]
Joshua Chambers thought he was snorting cocaine when he and two friends each did a line off the face of his cellphone outside an El Cajon bar one December morning in 2019.
On Monday, the man who sold Chambers the drugs — a friend and fellow Uber driver in Clairemont — was sentenced for his death to 20 years in prison. Davis had sold Chambers, 25, cocaine a few times in the weeks leading up to his death, according to cellphone records obtained by investigators. In the early morning hours of Dec. 19, 2019, Chambers and a friend picked up the mixture from Davis within an hour of overdosing, trial evidence showed.
“My son was so young that he will never have memory of his father,” Jacque Chambers wrote. “My daughter tells me every day how much she wishes her daddy can come back.”
