Bill de Blasio’s decision to run for the White House got mixed reactions in and around New York City
The decision by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to launch a presidential bid drew pointed reactions from people across the region on Thursday, with many questioning his decision to launch a long-shot bid while others said he should be given a chance.
Paul Clazing, a 70-year-old construction worker from Brooklyn, said he couldn’t understand why Mr. de Blasio, a Democrat, decided to run. “He doesn’t have a chance in hell,” said Mr. Clazing.
