Jenson Button's boyhood fascination with the Hollywood movie 'Days of Thunder' sparked his passion for stock cars and the former Formula One champion will live out a childhood dream when he returns to the starting grid for three NASCAR Cup races.

"Growing up in the UK we had four channels on TV back in the late 80s and we didn't get any real sport outside of European sport so it was Days of Thunder that actually first of all brought me to NASCAR," Button said during a media call. "There is always a possibility I guess but it is all down to performance," said Button."It doesn't matter what I've done previously. If they don't go well then it's not going to go well for 2024 in terms of getting a drive for a full season.
