We don't have much longer until clocks 'fall back.' ⏰
CLEVELAND, Ohio — We’re not that far into fall, but parts of Northeast Ohio got their first taste of winter late Monday night and early Tuesday morning when some snow fell and actually stuck to the ground.
By Saturday, Nov. 5, the amount of daylight will have shortened to about 10 hours, 13 minutes. The sun won’t rise until 8:03 a.m. and will set at about 6:16 p.m.And the amount of daylight will stay on a downward trend until Dec. 21. Although the earliest sunsets will come in early December — 4:56 p.m. from Dec. 5 to Dec. 11 — the shortest amount of daylight is on Dec. 21, the official beginning of winter.
Then comes the big jump on Sunday, March 12, 2023, when clocks “spring forward” one hour. The sun will set at 7:29 p.m. and there will be 11 hours, 46 minutes of daylight.
