Dawn Park’s warrant officer honoured at the district excellence awards

Dawn Park SAPS acting Vispol commander, Warrant Officer Eddie Mongalo, was honoured with the best supporting officer of the year award at the Ekurhuleni District SAPS Excellence Awards, held in Kempton Park on October 11.

Mongalo previously served as an operational commander at Alberton SAPS, where his team achieved first runner-up for the efficiency index in crime prevention at the district level in 2022.“I never thought that I would be recognised, but it means so much to me,” he stated. “I co-ordinated with the Presidential Protection Service team to ensure the president's safety during his visit.
