Apartment building fire in Swatara Twp.A Sunday morning blaze at an apartment complex in Swatara Township has displaced 48 residents, with the American Red Cross now working to help those forced out of their homes.

The fire took roughly 40 minutes to contain, Ibberson said. No injuries were apparent, but all the apartments were rendered uninhabitable.“We were sleeping downstairs, all my four kids and my wife,” said Jus Darjee, who came to the U.S. from Nepal in 2012 and has lived in the Swatara Township building since November.

William Roy, one of the few non-Nepali residents the building, had fortunately woken up about a half hour before the fire started, planning to pick up an extra shift at work.
