The experts state that people should take their Christmas trees down either on January 5 or January 6.
Where can I recycle my Christmas tree? If you have a brown bin you can simply place your real tree in your bin for kerbside collection. However, in many cases your bin may not be big enough to fit your tree in. You can cut your tree into manageable pieces to ensure the lid will close and avoid the tree being wedged in. You can check your brown bin collection date on the council website.
