Darren Till has now lost five of his last six fights UFC282
Things couldn’t have started worse for Till who was taken down early and looked like he was going to be taken out without landing a single punch as his opponent landed dozens of unanswered shots.
Eventually, the popular Englishman got back to his feet and started to find some success but was put on his back again before round one came to a close. Till continued to hit the mark in round two as his opponent looked visibly exhausted from his four-minute flurry in the first frame.However, the South African seemed to have the grappling advantage and he was able to put the Liverpudlian on his back before round two was over.
With the fight seemingly in the balance, du Plessis looked the fresher fighter in round three and secured a takedown before locking up a rear-naked choke submission to finish the fight.
