The actor reflects on his time portraying Paxton Hall-Yoshida on Never Have I Ever, a character who will live on as one of our favorite onscreen crushes
If one thing is true about this world, it’s that Mindy Kaling knows how to make a good TV show, especially one that centers on complex young women who have some extremely hot male love interests. One of those young men is Paxton Hall-Yoshida, the kind-hearted, popular swimmer fromwho has spent the past three seasons in a love triangle with Devi Vishwakumar and her academic arch-nemesis Ben Gross , all while stealing the hearts of viewers at home.
Still, the 32-year-old actor is not shy about the fact that college was more so a practical experience for him and how he went because he felt like he needed to, even though he knew he wanted to act: “I wanted to be an actor since I was five but when you tell your parents that, it's kind of like you want to be an astronaut or rock star,” he laughs.
