Darius Garland has certainly been special over the last three games, scoring 115 points combined.
The Cavalier guard was sensational, finishing with 41 points on 16 of 26 shooting, six assists and a career-high five steals. He also scored 10 of 15 points in the first overtime to push it into a second OT, where Donovan Mitchell helped the Cavaliers fend off the Hornets’ relentless comeback.
“He has turned into an incredible basketball player,” Hayward said. “I think that he has the ability to really run the show as a point guard. I think the last two years he has shown that he can also score the ball. He is obviously a tremendous basketball player and he’s a tough cover.”
