They’re all, of course, looking up to Pospisil — the 32-year-old from Vernon, B.C., who’s aiming to win the Calgary Challenger in his second year here.Article content Pospisil lined up for his first match of 2022 against American Evan Zhu late Tuesday at the facility in the city’s southeast. “There hasn’t been too many Canadian doubles players. Vasek plays sporadically, and then Cleeve is next in line, I guess, but he’s still in college. So we’ll see what happens down the road. I mean … Gaby on the women’s side obviously does well. But if somebody can do consistently well in doubles, that would be nice to see.”Article content
“I’m going to try with both singles and doubles, and we’ll see,” said Harper, who grew up learning the game at the Osten & Victor Alberta Tennis Centre. “I think doubles, there’s a better opportunity for me, so I think I’ll probably end up going with that if singles doesn’t work out.Nestor’s good with what he’s seeing here, too.Article content
