The Whites head into their Championship curtain raiser against Portsmouth with a near full strength side
Leeds United's 2024/25 Championship campaign gets up and running three days time as the Whites welcome Portsmouth to Elland Road. It's been relatively busy pre-season for Daniel Farke 's side after the loss of some experienced players this summer.
“The leadership comes from the manager,” Farke said ahead of their play-off semi-final with Norwich City last month. “This is what I have to do during the whole season because I know I have many players in key roles who are in their first season in the Championship. “We couldn't afford to buy experience. We wanted to use our potential and the good thing with this group is we have lots of potential, we have lots of individual quality and players who will develop to play, one day, not just at the top Championship level, but also at a really good Premier League level.
