.RepDanCrenshaw heckled outside Capitol by right-wing comedian who catcalled AOC
In a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday, Alex Stein ran up to the Texas Republican, referring to him as"eye patch McCain," and repeatedly asked him why he retweeted a tweet by Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy saying he wanted Stein to fail, along with some expletives, as well as criticizing his political stances. Crenshaw seemed to recognize Stein, referring to him by his first name though largely ignoring him.
Crenshaw lost an eye serving as a Navy SEAL in Afghanistan — not in Iraq, as suggested by Stein — after being hit by shrapnel from an improvised explosive device. Stein has confronted Crenshaw publicly before, filming a similar video of himself confronting the Texas representative at a Texas GOP convention in June. In the video, he films himself calling Crenshaw a"globalist RINO" and, again,"eye patch McCain."
